In Bishkek, due to the rise in cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, about 25 kindergartens have been closed for quarantine. This information was provided by 24.kg the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

In the Chui region, approximately 30 kindergartens have also been closed for a 10-day quarantine.

In Osh, five schools have completely switched to online learning, while in six other classes, lessons are being conducted remotely. It was previously reported that in Batken, some classes in various educational institutions have also started online learning.

Specialists noted that there is a high population density in these regions, and children attending kindergartens and schools can transmit infections to their peers. However, in other regions of the republic, the epidemic situation remains stable, the department reported.

It is worth noting that schools in the capital switched to online format on November 25 due to the visit of the President of Russia, the CSTO summit, and elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. Students are expected to return to regular classes on December 2.

According to data, from November 24 to 30, the incidence of ARVI and influenza in the country increased twofold compared to the previous week, when 13,000 cases were registered. Of the total number of infected, about 70 percent are children under 14 years old, of which more than 40 percent are children under four years old.
