In the first week of December 2025, 624 cases of acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI) were recorded in the Chui region, specifically in the Moscow district. This was reported by the district center for disease prevention and sanitary-epidemiological control.

According to the center's data, from January to November 2025, there were 5,718 cases of ARVI registered, which is 251 cases fewer than in the same period of 2024, when 5,969 cases were recorded.

Experts from the agency noted that there is a natural increase in the number of cases during the autumn-winter period, as viral infections spread more actively at this time of year. "We are conducting constant monitoring of morbidity. The majority of those infected are children aged 1 to 14 years, as well as elderly people. Because of this, some educational institutions are forced to switch to distance learning," the experts explained.

Currently, the Oktyabrskaya Secondary School and the "Bainur" kindergarten, located in the village of Predtechanka, have already transitioned to online learning format.

Starting December 9, the Bakirov School, Ak-Suu-4, and the "Nur" kindergarten in the village of Besh-Terek will also switch to distance learning.
