In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, 8 more kindergartens and one school have closed due to quarantine, as reported by the city administration.
According to the information provided by the mayor's office, as of December 8, 49 kindergartens have completed quarantine measures and resumed classes for children.
The authorities urge parents to avoid crowded places with children during the quarantine and to monitor their health, bringing only healthy children to kindergarten.
It should be noted that due to the increase in cases of ARVI, a quarantine was imposed on December 3 in 25 kindergartens in Bishkek, and in 40 kindergartens in the Chui region. In the Osh region, 5 schools have switched to remote learning.
As reported by the Ministry of Education over the weekend, educational institutions have the right to transition to online classes without prior approval from the ministry, but they are required to notify it of such a decision.
Currently, 207 schools across the republic have already switched to remote learning, and 214 kindergartens are under quarantine, as stated in the official announcement.
