In Kyrgyzstan, dozens of kindergartens are closed due to the rise in ARVI. Quarantine measures are being discussed.
In Bishkek, about 25 kindergartens are temporarily closed, while in the Chui region, this number reaches 40. In the Osh region, five schools have switched to distance learning. This data was announced on December 2 at a meeting of the operational headquarters discussing the epidemiological situation related to ARVI and influenza in the country.
The Ministry of Health reported that sanitary recommendations have been prepared for the heads of various institutions. Letters have been sent to district administrations and relevant agencies, including the Ministry of Education and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan. Information has also been provided to major shopping centers, educational, and cultural institutions to strengthen control over preventive measures. In regions with a more stable epidemiological situation, it is recommended to intensify preventive measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
In medical institutions, quarantine measures have been strengthened: a mandatory mask regime has been introduced, visits to hospitals are limited, and informational materials on flu prevention have been placed. Regular disinfection and treatment of premises with bactericidal agents are being carried out.
Specialists from the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service continue to take measures to contain the spread of ARVI and influenza. Monitoring of the situation is conducted around the clock, and the population will receive timely information about new decisions and recommendations.
As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to further strengthen preventive measures and the necessity of informing the population about precautionary measures.
The operational headquarters called on Interdistrict Centers of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service to intensify preventive work not only in kindergartens and schools but also in shopping centers, especially in areas designated for children. If the incidence continues to rise, the possibility of introducing temporary restrictive measures in places of mass gathering of children will be considered.
