Over 37,000 Kyrgyz citizens have contracted ARVI and influenza. When will quarantine measures be implemented?

From November 24 to 30, 2025, Kyrgyzstan recorded 37,068 cases of ARVI and influenza, which is 2.5 times higher than the figures from the previous week. This data was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Health, citing information from the Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

Today, December 2, a meeting was held to discuss the current epidemiological situation regarding ARVI and influenza in the country.

According to Dinara Otorbaeva, head of the Infectious Disease Surveillance Department of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, the situation is monitored daily.

The highest rates of illness have been noted in Bishkek and Osh, as well as in the Batken and Chui regions.

In connection with the increase in the number of cases, 25 kindergartens in Bishkek have suspended operations, around 40 preschool institutions in the Chui region, and five schools in the Osh region have switched to distance learning.

Additional quarantine measures have been implemented in medical institutions:

Specialists from the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance are actively working to prevent the further spread of ARVI and influenza. The situation is under round-the-clock control, and the population will be promptly informed about the measures and recommendations being taken.
