Today, December 2, a meeting was held to discuss the current epidemiological situation regarding ARVI and influenza in the country.
According to Dinara Otorbaeva, head of the Infectious Disease Surveillance Department of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, the situation is monitored daily.
The highest rates of illness have been noted in Bishkek and Osh, as well as in the Batken and Chui regions.
In connection with the increase in the number of cases, 25 kindergartens in Bishkek have suspended operations, around 40 preschool institutions in the Chui region, and five schools in the Osh region have switched to distance learning.
Additional quarantine measures have been implemented in medical institutions:
- mandatory mask regime introduced;
- visits to hospitals by patients' relatives are restricted;
- materials on influenza prevention have been printed;
- regular disinfection and bactericidal treatment of premises are being carried out.
