This data was presented at a meeting dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development of the region over the past nine months. Of the total number of newborns, 2,472 children were registered with local civil registry offices, while in 2024 this figure was 2,691. Currently, 219 children remain unregistered for various reasons.
According to statistics, the number of stillbirths in the first nine months of the current year was 15 cases, which is less than in 2024, when 20 cases were recorded. Additionally, during this period, 39 cases of death among children under one year old were registered in the region. This figure equals 14.9% per 1,000 live births, which is 35.4% higher than in 2024, when it was 11.0%.
Infant mortality statistics by districts (absolute numbers and percentage per 1,000 live births):
- Ak-Talinsky District — 3 cases (10.6%) (in 2024: 2 cases, 6.4%) — an increase of 65.6%
- At-Bashinsky District — 5 cases (13.8%) (in 2024: 5 cases, 9.8%) — an increase of 40.8%
- Jumgal District — 7 cases (21.2%) (in 2024: 4, 10.9%) — an increase of 94.4%
- Kochkor District — 10 cases (16.8%) (in 2024: 6, 9.6%) — an increase of 75.0%
- City of Naryn — 14 cases (23.9%) (in 2024: 10, 17.6%) — an increase of 64.2%
Thus, an increase in infant mortality rates is observed in all districts.
Of the 39 deceased children in the region:
- 11 children (28.2%) died in the hospital (in 2024: 15 children — 46.9%), which is 39.8% less
- Within the first 24 hours after admission to the hospital (mortality up to 25%) — 1 case in Jumgal District
- In maternity wards, 24 cases were recorded (61.5%) (in 2024: 15 cases — 46.9%), an increase of 31.1%
- Four children (10.3%) died at home (in 2024: 2 cases — 6.3%)
- Among children observed in rural health posts, there are 11 cases (28.2%) (in 2024: 4 cases).
Main causes of death among children under 1 year:
- Perinatal causes — 26 cases (66.7%) (in 2024: 16 cases — 50.0%)
- Respiratory diseases — 5 cases (12.8%) (in 2024: also 5 cases — 15.6%)
- Other causes — 4 cases (10.3%) (in 2024: about 39.4%)
- Congenital anomalies — 3 cases (7.7%) (in 2024: 8 cases — 25.0%).
