In 2024, 423 children with autism were registered in Kyrgyzstan

On November 19, at a round table organized at the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood, Tamilla Kadyrova, an associate professor of the Department of Medical Psychology, Psychiatry, and Narcology at KGMA, reported that in 2024, there are 34.2 cases of general developmental disorders per 100,000 children under the age of 14 in Kyrgyzstan.

According to information from the Center for Electronic Health, the total number of registered children with developmental disorders in the country for 2024 is 792, of which 423 children have a diagnosis of autism. Additionally, 332 children have been registered with atypical autism.

The theme of the round table focused on improving the diagnosis, routing, and interdisciplinary support for children with autism spectrum disorders in Kyrgyzstan.
