Due to the rise of ARVI in Kyrgyzstan, 526 schools have been switched to distance learning

According to the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, as of December 15, distance learning has been organized in 526 schools, which accounts for approximately 25% of the total number of educational institutions in the country.

In addition, due to the situation, the activities of 403 preschool institutions have been temporarily suspended.

The ministry noted that these measures are being taken for preventive purposes. Despite the continuing high number of infections, the epidemiological situation has begun to stabilize: in the past week, the number of cases of ARVI and influenza has decreased by 11.7 percent.

During the 50th week of 2025 (from December 8 to December 14), approximately 37,600 cases of acute respiratory infections and influenza were registered in Kyrgyzstan.
