During the meeting, Deputy Uluqbek Karybek uulu raised a question about measures to protect the labor rights of remote workers.
Kamchybek Dosmatov, the First Deputy Minister of Labor, explained that a new Labor Code was adopted in January of last year, which introduced new forms of labor activity, including remote and distance work. He added that there is a commission under the Ministry of Labor where workers can turn if their rights are violated by their employer.
Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva also raised the issue regarding labor vacations.
She noted that sometimes an employer recalls an employee from vacation at their discretion, which can lead to the employee using only half of their vacation, leaving the other half unused. "What should be done in such situations?" she asked.
In response, the Deputy Minister said that recalling from vacation is only possible with the employee's consent, and forced interruption of vacation is unacceptable.
Additionally, she clarified: "If an employee did not use their vacation in the current year, can they use it next year? Are there any restrictions?"
Dosmatov acknowledged that he could not provide a precise answer regarding possible restrictions, but noted that the Labor Code allows for unused vacation to be carried over to the following year.
