In his opinion, the main difficulties are related to low salaries and overtime caused by a shortage of personnel, which contributes to burnout among medical professionals.
“These factors lead to significant stress in the healthcare sector. One of the solutions is to raise salaries and improve the status of medical workers. We hope for the planned 100 percent salary increase expected from April 1, 2026,” he stated.
Additionally, Abdildaev mentioned instances of violence against medical workers and pressure from independent bloggers. He expressed hope that tightening penalties for such actions would help protect the rights of medical professionals.
Sultan Abdildaev also noted that there are budget constraints within the healthcare system, making it impossible to have lawyers or safety engineers in every medical organization.
“Thus, this year our top priority will be to enhance the legal and labor knowledge of union committees. This will enable them to promptly address issues within teams, including unlawful dismissals, improper salary calculations, and the provision of special clothing and personal protective equipment for medical workers. We aim for the union committees to resolve emerging issues at the team level, avoiding legal disputes. Otherwise, work suffers, conflicts arise, and ultimately, patients and the budget are harmed, as additional funds are required for this,” he emphasized.
