He noted that teachers shape the future of the nation, while doctors protect its health and life. "Unfortunately, today we are witnessing disrespect and even violence towards these professions, which is the height of unculturedness," he stressed.
According to Japarov, it is necessary to restore respect for these important professions and rehabilitate their reputation. "We must value the work of teachers and doctors, as they educate children and care for the health of citizens. Without respect for them, it is impossible to build a cultured and developed society," he added. In this regard, starting from April 1, 2026, the salaries of education and healthcare workers will be increased by 100%.
The president also reported that in a recent conversation with the prime minister, it was decided to raise salaries by at least 50%. As a result, thanks to the introduction of an additional presidential compensation of 15,000 soms, salaries will on average increase by 100%.
Currently, teachers earn an average of 26,000 soms, and after the increase, this amount will be approximately 52,000 soms. The salary amount depends on the level of education, experience, qualifications, region, and subject, as well as workload.
For example, a teacher in a city with a pedagogical education but no experience will receive 36,800 soms starting in April, which after taxes and social payments will amount to 31,200 soms.
A mathematics teacher working in a mountainous area with over 30 years of experience currently earns 65,800 soms, and by April 2026, their salary will reach 97,600 soms.
As for medical workers, their average salary currently stands at 31,500 soms, and by April 2026, it will increase to 62,500 soms, which after taxes will amount to over 50,000 soms.
Newcomers in the medical field, with no experience, currently earn 16,900 soms, and after the increase, their salary will be 42,100 soms, which after taxes will be 35,500 soms.
The average salary for artists is currently 20,700 soms, and by April 2026, it will reach 46,500 soms, which after deductions will amount to 39,000 soms.
Coaches will also not be left out; their salary after the increase will be 58,900 soms, and they will receive a net amount of 45,000 soms.
Additionally, the salaries of technical and support staff will increase by 80%, taking into account the presidential compensation of 5,000 soms.
The president emphasized that these measures are aimed at strengthening the positions of representatives of these professions and recognizing their contribution to the development of the country.
