According to the statement by Serik Zhumangarin, the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, an increase in pensions and benefits by 10% is planned in the country for 2026. This information was published on the Tengrinews website.

For comparison, the increase in 2025 was 8.5%. A total of 636 billion tenge has been allocated in the budget for 2026 for these purposes, Zhumangarin noted.

It is worth noting that as of November 1, 2025, the average pension in Kazakhstan is 142,744 tenge (approximately 24,300 soms), of which 95,167 tenge is the solidarity pension (about 16,300 soms), and 47,577 tenge is the basic pension (approximately 8,000 soms).

At the same time, the authorities in Kyrgyzstan are also considering the possibility of increasing pensions next year, although without specific data. Last week, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, stated that the government is working on this issue together with the Social Fund.

He noted: "Over the past two to three years, Social Fund payments have increased from 50 billion soms to 119 billion soms, which is a twofold increase. We hope that next year pensions will also be raised, at least to the level of inflation. We aim for this increase to be significant," he added.
