In an interview on television channels dedicated to the results of the year and future plans, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev announced an upcoming increase in salaries in the country.
According to him, in 2026, two stages of salary increases are expected, which will ultimately rise by 50%.
“In 2026, we have big plans. In the first stage, we intend to increase salaries for teachers, doctors, cultural workers, and service personnel by at least 50%.
In the second stage, starting from September 1, salary increases for state and municipal employees are also planned to reach up to 50%. To implement these measures, an additional approximately 57 billion soms will be required, considering the annual calculation. Since the increases will take place on April 1 and September 1, an additional 39 billion soms have already been allocated in next year's budget.
We will continue to work in this direction. The main thing is that the economy develops and more funds come into the budget, then we will be able to systematically raise salaries,” he noted.
