In an interview with state media, Kasymaliyev confirmed that the issue of increasing pensions in 2026 is being discussed.

He reminded that last year the task was set to raise pensions to the level of the minimum subsistence for pensioners.

The minimum pension was raised to 6,900 soms, and starting from October 1 of this year, those who received this amount have transitioned to 7,500 soms. Those who have just retired and have a short work history are paid 7,100 soms. Last year, the minimum subsistence was 7,065 soms, he added.

Kasymaliyev noted that the government is actively working with the Social Fund to increase pensions in 2026.

"Over the past two to three years, the payments from the Social Fund have increased from 50 to 119 billion soms, which is twice as much. We hope that next year pensions will be raised at least to the level of inflation. We strive to make this increase significant," concluded the head of the government.
