The Housing Committees approved the bills on the republican budget in three readings.

On December 23, six committees of the Jogorku Kenesh approved draft laws concerning changes to the republican budget for 2025 and the planned period for 2026-2027, as well as the draft law on the republican budget for 2026 and planned indicators for 2027-2028, and this occurred in three readings.

As noted by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, the actual GDP growth amounted to 11.5%, exceeding the initial forecast of 9%.

According to him, the nominal volume of gross domestic product increased from 639 billion soms in 2020 to 1.6 trillion soms in 2024, and it is expected to reach 1.8 trillion soms in 2025, indicating nearly a threefold increase in the economy over recent years.

Kasymaliev also added that the country's economy continues to demonstrate positive trends: by the end of 2024, GDP per capita will amount to $2,513, which is 86% more compared to 2021. In 2025, further growth of this indicator to $2,800 is anticipated.

According to his information, in 2024, the volume of investments in fixed capital will reach 283.2 billion soms, which is 18.1% more than last year.

The head of the cabinet of ministers emphasized that the state continues to implement significant strategic infrastructure projects outlined in the National Development Program until 2030. Among the key projects are the construction of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which will form the basis for the country's energy and transport security.

During the discussion, Kasymaliev urged committee members to support the draft laws in three readings, adding that the document should be signed by the end of the year. However, Deputy Dastan Jumabekov pointed out that this contradicts the regulations.

Despite this, the committees on finance, budget, entrepreneurship and competition development, the committee on constitutional legislation, state structure, local self-government and the regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh, as well as the committees on labor, health, women's affairs and social issues, agrarian policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology and environmental protection, science, education, innovative development, information technology, culture, sports and youth affairs, as well as industrial policy, transport, fuel and energy complex, architecture and construction ultimately supported the projects in three readings.
