During a joint meeting of the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev reported that in 2024, the growth rate of the gross domestic product (GDP) reached 11.5%. This level is expected to be maintained in 2025, and for the first 11 months of the current year, GDP growth reached 10.2%.
According to preliminary information, in 2024, the GDP volume amounted to 1.6 trillion soms, while in 2025, it is projected to exceed 1.8 trillion soms.
“In 2020, the GDP volume was 639 billion soms. With the arrival of Sadyr Japarov to power, this figure has tripled. This indicates stable economic development and the effectiveness of the reforms being implemented. Kyrgyzstan ranked among the top countries in the world for GDP growth in 2024 and became a leader among the EAEU states in 2025. This underscores that Kyrgyzstan is beginning to play a significant role on the world stage as a rapidly developing country. This was noted by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg,” added Kasymaliev.
