At a parliamentary meeting in Bishkek, the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Tabyldy Muratbekov, proposed an initiative to attract more male teachers to schools in Kyrgyzstan.
He pointed out that the shortage of men in the teaching staff negatively impacts student discipline.
The parliamentarian added: "I do not differentiate teachers by gender. However, I am convinced that the presence of men in the educational process can have a positive effect on upbringing and ultimately improve the quality of education in educational institutions."
