According to information provided by the Main Department of Road Safety, these complexes were installed as part of the "Safe Country" initiative. The software development for these systems was carried out by IT specialists from the state institution "Kyzmat," which is subordinate to the Presidential Administration.
Now, Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue in Bishkek is under full control. In addition, systems have been installed at the intersections of Akhunbaev and Toktonaliev streets, as well as Mahatma Gandhi and Bayalinov streets.
The complexes are capable of recording the following types of violations:
- absence of seat belts;
- driving in the opposite lane;
- exceeding the established speed;
- running a red light;
- ignoring road signs and markings.
