The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan, Mederbek Satiev, participated in a meeting of the Council of Judges on January 22, as reported by the press service of the organization.

During his speech, Satiev emphasized that the Supreme Court and the Council of Judges have equal constitutional status and share joint responsibility for the state of the country's judicial system.

He highlighted the importance of establishing systematic interaction between these two institutions, as many key issues—including budget, infrastructure, disciplinary practices, and the evaluation of judges' performance—require coordinated decisions.

The head of the Supreme Court also pointed out the significance of the State Target Program "Development of the Justice System of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2023–2026." He reported that the draft program for the development of justice for 2027–2030 is available on the Supreme Court's website for discussion by both the professional community and the general public.

Additionally, personnel issues were discussed at the meeting. Satiev noted that the problem of staff turnover in the court apparatus remains relevant, but a decision has already been made to increase salaries, and a rise in payments is expected this year.
