At a meeting of the Bishkek City Council's Social Issues Commission, Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev presented a project that could allow 1,500 Bishkek residents to use free public transportation. Currently, there are already five categories of citizens in the capital who are entitled to such benefits.

It is proposed to introduce a sixth category — personal assistants accompanying people with disabilities. These assistants will receive special "Tulpar" cards, allowing them to use transportation even without the person they are accompanying.

At the same time, as Aliyev noted, to obtain such a card, the personal assistant must be registered in the city.

Victoria Mozgacheva, Aliyev's colleague, added that the new measure will apply exclusively to first-group individuals with disabilities who require assistance with self-care.

She also emphasized that lists of citizens will be provided to the transportation department centrally to avoid unnecessary hassle for those in need.

After the discussion, the commission members supported the proposed project.
