Hungary is interested in Kyrgyzstan's experience in implementing digital technologies in elections

On January 23, the Deputy Chairperson of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums, Aydana Zhupueva, held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan, Sandor Dorogi. This was reported by the press service of the CEC.

During the meeting, issues concerning the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of electoral processes and the exchange of experience between the electoral bodies of Kyrgyzstan and Hungary were discussed.

Sandor Dorogi expressed Hungary's interest in the experience of the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan in the application of modern digital technologies in electoral processes, as well as in the practices of implementing and realizing gender quotas.

The issue of creating a polling station for Hungarian citizens on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, specifically at the Hungarian Embassy in Bishkek, was also discussed in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for April 12, 2026.

In addition, the ambassador proposed that CEC representatives participate in international observation of the parliamentary elections in Hungary.

Aydana Zhupueva confirmed the readiness to actively participate in the observation of elections in Hungary and emphasized the importance of further strengthening and developing fruitful cooperation between the electoral bodies of both states.
