At the meeting of the International Affairs Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Samat Djanteliyev presented a project for the construction of five new schools and seven educational buildings in Bishkek, as well as two educational institutions in the Chui region. The implementation of this project will be financed by a loan from the Saudi Fund.

During the discussion, Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva emphasized the need to create not only state educational institutions but also specialized educational establishments for children with disabilities. She noted that the number of children with autism and Down syndrome in the republic has increased in recent years.

In her opinion, such children cannot attend regular schools and kindergartens. "It would be wonderful if special educational institutions for them appeared in regional centers. Not all families can afford private education. If necessary, I am ready to propose ideas or criteria for the construction of such schools. We really have more children with Down syndrome and autism, including among my relatives. They cannot attend educational institutions where suitable conditions exist. I understand that this is not only the task of the Ministry of Construction but also requires a comprehensive approach involving the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, as specialists need to be trained for such institutions," she added.
