Veteran of the State National Security Committee Serik Abiev has passed away

On January 27, Colonel in reserve Serik Abiev, a renowned veteran of the special services, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 54. His death was reported by the press service of the State National Security Committee.

According to the obituary, Serik Abiev was born in 1972 and graduated in 1995 from the Kyrgyz State National University named after J. Balasagyn, earning a degree in law. In the same year, he began his career in the national security agencies of Kyrgyzstan.

Throughout his service, Abiev held numerous responsible positions, including work in the investigative department of the State National Security Committee, the department for the Naryn region, the anti-terrorism center, as well as in the main investigative department. He also dedicated time to work at the Academy of the State National Security Committee and held positions as assistant to the chairman and deputy head of the security service of the State National Security Committee.

The message notes that for his achievements and high results in service, Serik Kekенович was awarded various honors and accolades, including a certificate of honor from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. "He will be remembered by his colleagues as a principled and responsible leader, a true officer with a strong sense of duty," the message states.

He trained many employees of the national security agencies, always emphasizing the importance of honesty, fairness, and respect for traditions, as well as the necessity to proudly bear the title of officer and serve his country.

The State National Security Committee, veterans, and staff expressed their deep condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
