Gulsharkan Kultaeva, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, proposed to introduce a ban on the issuance of loans by commercial banks and microfinance institutions to citizens aged 18 to 25 without prior parental consent.

During the discussion of amendments to the law "On Credit Information Exchange," she emphasized that modern banking applications allow young people to obtain loans even if they do not have a stable source of income.

"Many of them are unemployed, some are completely dependent on their parents. They do not share information about their loans with their parents, which negatively affects their future. Without financial literacy, young people do not realize the consequences of their decisions," Kultaeva added.

Medet Tairov, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, reported that this issue will be brought up for discussion with the banking community.
