Charitable assistance came from German and American patrons
Today, January 29, the Institute for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood reported the transfer of medications for children's oncology in Bishkek and Osh worth over 1.6 million soms.
This assistance became possible thanks to a charitable campaign held from August 15 to 30, 2025, by participants of the Silk Road Mountain Race — Patrick Meyerle from Germany and Peter Bree from the USA. This race is considered one of the most challenging in the world.
Patrick and Peter dedicated their race to children suffering from cancer in Kyrgyzstan and managed to raise 15,809 euros. The event was organized in collaboration with the charitable organization "Umai - Hilfe für Kirgistan e.V" and the fund “Helping is Easy” from Kyrgyzstan.
This is already the second campaign in which Patrick participates as part of the "Silk Road" cycling race. Last year, he managed to raise about 1 million soms, which were also transferred through the "Umai" organization for the purchase of medications for children in Kyrgyzstan.
