At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on labor, health, women's issues, and social policy, a draft amendment to the legislation on free insurance for children was announced. The chairman of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund, Azamat Mukhanov, reported that the Ministry of Health proposes to raise the age up to which children are provided with free insurance to 18 years.

According to Mukhanov, the current rules state that insurance covers children only up to 16 years of age. The new changes aim to ensure that the legislation aligns with modern conditions.

“The document states that insurance continues until the completion of education, that is, until 18 years. Funds have already been allocated, and children are under protection; their rights remain unchanged,” he added.

Furthermore, Mukhanov noted that the implementation of the new law will not require additional financial investments.
