The deputy addressed Almasbek Abytov, the president's representative in parliament.
During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Eru lan Kokulov called for an investigation into the actions of journalists. He directed his request to Almasbek Abytov, who represents the president in parliament.
During his speech, Kokulov expressed dissatisfaction with the state of journalism in the country, stating that there are "no journalists left" in Kyrgyzstan.

"I am also a journalist and know the journalism law better than you. I studied better and reached this level thanks to my project 'Not Sugar,' which has been successful. You are not journalists — your materials about me are of poor quality. I speak from the podium, and you cut my words to present me in a bad light," he addressed first to the journalists and then to Abytov.
Kokulov also pointed out that negative articles about him are related to the fact that he does not pay journalists. In his opinion, some of his fellow deputies provide funding to the media, which leads to positive coverage of their activities.
Kokulov's emotional speech was triggered by publications about the "Aurora" boarding house. Earlier, he posted a video on social media showing dirty and moldy premises, claiming that this was the boarding house's kitchen. This video caused a wide public outcry. In response, the management of the boarding house sent their videos and messages to the media, claiming that these premises are not in use and serve as storage for old equipment. These materials were also covered in various media.
