Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev reported on the work of the commission that is selecting the best proposals for a new version of the anthem's text and music. He noted that out of 900 submitted works, the commission selected three most suitable options.
However, the Jogorku Kenesh rejected the three submitted options for the text and music. The commission, consisting of deputies Nurjamal Torobekova, Baktyyar Kalpaev, Ulanbek Zhaanbaev, Kamila Talieva, and Venera Salyamova, will continue its work.
The new stage of the competition will last until June 1.
