The head of the information policy service of the presidential administration provided examples from other countries
According to Daiyrbek Orunbekov, the head of the information policy service of the presidential administration, a period of two and a half months for driver training is insufficient. He expressed his opinion in response to public criticism regarding the 10-month training period in driving schools.
Orunbekov noted that in other countries, the training periods for drivers are significantly longer.
In his social media, he emphasized: "It is impossible to adequately absorb the material in such a short time. The 10 months includes both theoretical and practical parts. Classes will not be organized every day, but two to three times a week, lasting 2-3 hours. The program will also cover psychological aspects and road ethics."
For example, in Finland, training can take up to a year before a driver receives a temporary license. In Germany, the training process can last from 6 to 12 months, and in Sweden and Norway, it can be up to a year. In countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, the UK, and New Zealand, this period can reach two years.
