He also clarified that out of the total number of Kyrgyz citizens abroad, 532 thousand are in Russia.
“There are 341 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan registered with the migration authorities in Russia. The rest have an uncertain status: some transit through the country, while others enter and exit temporarily. In 2021-2022, we provided data indicating the presence of 700-800 thousand people,” the deputy minister added.
Furthermore, he reported that there are currently 34 thousand Kyrgyz citizens listed in the register of controlled persons in the Russian Federation, while this figure was previously 124 thousand.
