“The concept of the park will remain unchanged”
In Bishkek, construction work is actively underway in Atatürk Park. Local residents informed the Vesti.kg editorial team about this.
On the site where stables, trees, and shrubs once stood, a new building is being erected.
City hall representatives claim that all these processes are part of the reconstruction of Atatürk Park.
“We guarantee that the reconstruction will not violate the concept of the park. The new building will be intended for hippotherapy, to assist people with disabilities,” the municipality stated.
It is worth noting that the Bishkek city hall collected funds from the owners of nearby houses and apartments to finance the construction of running and walking paths, as well as playgrounds and sports facilities in the park. However, some residents express dissatisfaction with the authorities' actions, as a significant number of trees and shrubs have been cut down as a result of the work.
