
During this meeting, the progress of the public-private partnership agreement regarding the construction of the Makmal - Karakol railway, signed in February 2025, was discussed. This project aims to develop the railway infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan and integrate it into the Trans-Eurasian transport route.
During the discussion, special attention was paid to the implementation of innovative technologies and the application of best global practices in the field of railway transport. It is expected that the implementation of this project will significantly improve the transport connectivity of the regions, strengthen the transit potential of the country, and create new opportunities for economic development.
Ravshan Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, emphasized the importance of the project for the socio-economic progress of Kyrgyzstan and expressed readiness to support its practical implementation.
The parties confirmed their interest in further cooperation and agreed to continue joint efforts to promote this project.
