The building has been declared emergency, and a new site has been designated for its replacement.
The artistic workshops, which have been creating decorations for national performances of the Kyrgyz State Opera and Ballet Theater for many years, will be relocated. This was announced by the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan.
A seismic examination conducted by the State Institute of Seismic Resistant Construction and Engineering Design confirmed that the workshop building can no longer be used. Due to significant wear of the structures and insufficient seismic resistance, working in this historic building has become unsafe.
A site within the city limits has been chosen for the new building, and the project has already been included in future plans.
The emergency building will be transferred to the management of the Ministry of Finance.
