At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 4, Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva reported on the situation faced by 17 families, whose members served in law enforcement agencies. These families were unable to obtain housing due to significant delays in the construction of a departmental house.

Sadyrbaeva noted that she had been approached by retired Ministry of Internal Affairs employees, widows of deceased officers, as well as those who were dismissed due to health reasons.

According to her, the construction of the house for ministry employees began in 2016 and was supposed to be completed in 2020; however, the actual commissioning only took place in the summer of 2023, by which time many of those who had approached were no longer employed. If the project had been completed on time, these 17 families would have been able to enter the compensation program and receive housing. However, due to the delay, this did not happen, the deputy emphasized.

Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva called on the cabinet of ministers to treat these families fairly, suggesting the possibility of providing them with compensation to acquire housing through a mortgage.
