Musicians will participate in the opening of the Games in Bishkek
The trio Ay Yola from Bashkortostan has become the official representative of nomadic culture on the international stage. The artists, who masterfully combine traditional performances on unique instruments with modern electronic rhythms, have been honored with the title of ambassadors of the VI World Nomad Games (WNG). Their goal is to convey the heritage of their ancestors to the youth, who actively use TikTok and streaming platforms, as stated in the press release from the WNG secretariat.
The choice of Ay Yola reflects the growing trend of ethno-futurism, which will take center stage at the upcoming Games in Kyrgyzstan. The group's music, inspired by the epic "Ural-Batyr," perfectly aligns with the concept of this large-scale event that unites the sports and cultural elements of 100 nations. In addition to the musicians, the team of ambassadors will also include the legendary athlete Aisuluu Tynybekova, who has joined them as an ambassador for the Games.
We remind you that the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games will take place in Bishkek, while the competitions and finals will be held in the Issyk-Kul region. More than 100 countries are expected to participate in the event.
