The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the production does not harm the ecology
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva raised the issue regarding complaints from local residents of the Lenin district of Bishkek, who are experiencing discomfort due to the smell coming from the Coca-Cola plant located on Lushchikhina Street.
According to the deputy, this unpleasant smell is mainly felt in the mornings. She pointed out that the plant was built without a designated sanitary zone and is located too close to residential buildings. In this regard, Sadyrbaeva appealed to the Minister of Ecology, Meder Mashiev, for assistance in resolving the issue.
Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, assured that this issue will be taken under control. He noted that the plant was established at this location before the construction of residential properties.
"Firstly, the plant was here before the houses were built. Secondly, it is a safe production. Coca-Cola is a public company that cares about the environment, as its shares are traded on international markets. I myself have familiarized myself with the operation of the plant and found no signs of harmful production," added Amangeldiev.
