Edil Baisalov announced changes to the curriculum in higher education institutions

Changes in the country's higher education were announced by Edil Baysalov at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the creation of the new ministry was an important step towards serious modernization of the education system and the scientific sector.

He noted that the new ministry has a clear goal – to make universities centers of attraction for talents, sources of relevant knowledge, and driving forces for the country's development for many years to come.

Discussing the implementation of the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding special status for certain universities, Edil Baysalov pointed out the difference in the results achieved.

According to him, some universities have already taken advantage of the opportunities provided and demonstrated significant progress, while others are still waiting for clarifications and decisions. He added: "The time for waiting has expired."

Baysalov also reported on the upcoming review of educational programs, during which outdated courses will be eliminated, ineffective areas will be modernized, and new disciplines will be introduced that meet the needs of the modern economy.
