
A new airport is being built in the Suzak district
In the Jalal-Abad region, in the Suzak district, the construction of the international airport "Jalal-Abad" has begun.
This airport will replace the existing facility in Manas, the territory of which will be transformed into a "new type" city with a central sports arena for 30,000 seats.
The area of the new airport will be 380 hectares. The runway will be capable of accommodating modern passenger aircraft, such as Boeing and Airbus, as well as large cargo planes.
The airport will receive a category 4E, which corresponds to international aviation standards.
Currently, the construction of a two-story terminal for passengers and aircraft parking is underway.
Construction work started in May of last year.
