Operations to detain illegal migrants will be completed in Minneapolis, as reported by Tom Homan, who is responsible for border security and deportation. He was appointed by the U.S. administration to work in this region.

According to Homan, he proposed to halt the raids, and this initiative was supported by President Donald Trump. NBC News quotes his words.

Tom Homan noted that the winding down of operations will begin this week; however, he will remain in the state for some time to oversee the process of concluding this campaign.

“I do not wish for any more violence. I pray daily for the safety of both law enforcement officers and citizens,” he added.

Earlier, during raids by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, a tragic incident occurred in which 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretty, a local resident who worked as a nurse in the intensive care unit of a veterans' hospital, was shot. He had a permit to carry a weapon and had no criminal record. This was reported earlier.

Also, on January 7, during ICE operations, Rene Nicole Good, a mother of three, was killed. Her death caused a public outcry.

We remind you that since the beginning of his second term, Donald Trump has been pursuing a policy of mass deportation of illegal migrants.
