According to information presented at a briefing by the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Azamat Mambetov, spring in Kyrgyzstan is expected to arrive earlier than usual. According to the forecast, air temperatures during spring will be 1-2 degrees higher than average values.

Mambetov noted that this winter season, Bishkek and the Chui region experienced a small amount of snow, while significant precipitation was recorded in other regions of the country.

The specialist warned about the risks associated with warming, including the possibility of mudflows and the activation of landslides due to intense snowmelt. The Department of Monitoring and Forecasting of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has already notified all relevant units about the potential threat.

In Kyrgyzstan, there are about 4,000 sites that may pose a danger due to landslides, where approximately 4,000 families reside.

Azamat Mambetov also reminded that the country is currently experiencing a cycle of low water levels.
