Committee Chair Toktobubu Ashymbaeva expressed dissatisfaction with the absence of the official at the important meeting.
“This is not the first case. Previously, she missed meetings: once she did not come at all, and another time she sent someone else in her place. Such an attitude towards the work of the committee is absolutely unacceptable, especially when key issues are being discussed. The deputy minister should be present at meetings where her areas of responsibility are being discussed,” Ashymbaeva noted.
Deputy Gulai Mashrapova also expressed her outrage, calling the incident unacceptable.
“For me, the situation that has developed today is unacceptable. I cannot say that she grossly ignored the meeting, but her behavior demonstrated disrespect. The bill being discussed is one of the most significant, and although we will postpone it to the next meeting, the deputy minister must be held accountable for her behavior,” the deputy added.
As a result, it was decided to postpone the discussion of the issue to the next meeting, and a request regarding Orozbaeva's accountability will be sent to the cabinet of ministers.
