Residents of the Issyk-Kul Region Felt the Earthquake in Kazakhstan

At 16:08 on February 17, the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic recorded an earthquake with an epicenter of approximately 5 points on the MSK-64 scale, with a magnitude of 5.1.

According to preliminary data, the epicenter was located in Kazakhstan, 65 kilometers northeast of the village of Ananyevo and 70 kilometers northeast of Almaty.

In various settlements of Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake was felt with an intensity of 3 points in the village of Ananyevo and 2.5 points in the villages of Kara-Oy, Chon-Sary-Oy, Kurmenty, Temirovka, Taldy-Suu, Bosteri, as well as in the city of Cholpon-Ata.
