Among the recipients of assistance:
- 3,819 lonely elderly individuals;
- 2,313 persons with disabilities;
- 350 married couples;
- 2,971 families in difficult life situations.
Social workers play an important role in supporting elderly individuals who live alone, as well as citizens with limited mobility. Their responsibilities also include assisting married couples and families facing challenging circumstances. Specialists provide not only solutions to everyday problems but also psychological and social support.
Each social worker is required to visit their clients at least twice a week, following an individual schedule approved by the management of the department. This approach ensures a high level of care and timely assistance to those in need.
To receive home assistance, a written request must be submitted by local self-government bodies, neighbors, or close relatives. The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration is actively working to improve the quality and accessibility of social services.
