At the 2026 Winter Olympics taking place in Italy, Kyrgyz skier Timur Shakirov was unable to complete his attempt in the slalom.
There were 96 athletes competing in the event. Shakirov started with number 84, but made a mistake in his first attempt and exited the course, thus eliminating himself from the medal contention.
Interestingly, more than half of the participants were unable to finish their first attempt, including Olympic champion Lucas Pinheiro Broten.
Earlier in these Games, Timur placed 62nd in the giant slalom.
