
During the meeting held on February 18, Ulugbek Maripov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia, and the General Director of the Saudi Development Fund Al Marshad, as well as a delegation from Kyrgyzstan led by the minister, also participated.
At the meeting, the parties held official negotiations where the technical plan for the second phase of the project was discussed in detail and approved by mutual agreement.
They also discussed the list of schools planned to be built in various regions of the country, issues related to ensuring the quality of construction work, the creation of a modern educational environment, and the stages of project implementation.
The parties also explored opportunities for expanding cooperation aimed at attracting additional investments and financial resources for the next phase of the project. Following the negotiations, the readiness to continue strengthening bilateral relations in the field of educational infrastructure was confirmed.
It is worth noting that an agreement worth 50 million dollars has already been signed as part of this project. Five new schools and seven additional educational buildings are planned to be built in Bishkek, as well as two new schools in the Chui region. The capacity of these educational institutions will range from 150 to 1000 places. The implementation of the project is scheduled for the period from 2026 to 2029.
