Nasir Beishebaev, a nephrologist at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health, is now under house arrest. This decision was announced by lawyer Evgeniya Krapivina in a conversation with the editorial team of Kaktus.media. The measure of restraint was determined by the Pervomaisky District Court.

Recall that on February 18 in Bishkek, the doctor was detained. Candidate of Medical Sciences and Associate Professor Beishebaev became the subject of an investigation after the mother of one of his patients claimed that a medical error occurred in 2024, leading to the amputation of her daughter's right leg.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the improper performance of professional duties by a medical worker, which resulted in serious harm.

The doctor has been charged and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.

The staff of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health released a video appeal to the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, calling for an objective investigation. The medical professionals also expressed a request for a mitigation of the measure of restraint for Beishebaev.

Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov emphasized the importance of a comprehensive and impartial examination of all circumstances of the case in his comments.

Employees of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health also shared how the girl's treatment proceeded before the amputation.
