A record snowfall has been recorded in Moscow again: 49 percent of the monthly norm
In Moscow, a significant amount of snow has fallen again, leading to the establishment of a new record, surpassing the figures from 1970. The data was provided by Russian meteorologist Mikhail Leus, who reported that the VDNH weather station recorded 21 mm of precipitation in one day, which is 49% of the February monthly norm.

Additionally, "Roscosmos" published photographs of Cyclone Valli taken from a spacecraft. This cyclone came to Russia from Bulgaria.

Similar records were also recorded in the Moscow region: in the area of the Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve, 27 mm of precipitation fell, which is almost two-thirds of the monthly norm.

Due to the heavy snowfall, many flights were canceled and delayed at Moscow airports, and traffic jams rated at 9 points formed on the roads. About 250 trucks were pulled out of snowdrifts.

It is worth noting that on January 10, a record snowfall was also recorded in Moscow over the past five decades, when 42% of the monthly precipitation norm fell in one day.
