In Moscow, works by Repin, Aivazovsky, Levitan, and Vasnetsov are up for auction

In Moscow, an auction is scheduled where works by masters such as Ilya Repin, Ivan Aivazovsky, Isaac Levitan, Valentin Serov, and Viktor Vasnetsov will be presented. The total value of the artworks is estimated at 1 billion rubles, as reported by the news agency.

The auction will feature Aivazovsky's landscape "Moonlit Night in Crimea" from 1861, which is valued at 60 million rubles

In spring, on March 1, the Moscow auction house will hold bidding, showcasing not only the mentioned works but also pieces by authors such as Ivan Shishkin, Vasily Polenov, Konstantin Korovin, Pyotr Konchalovsky, and many others whose creations date back to the 18th-20th centuries.

According to the press service of the auction house, the catalog includes works from private collections that have already participated in exhibitions held, including at the Tretyakov Gallery, as well as pieces belonging to individuals whose names hold significant places in the history of Russia.

Among the most valuable lots are: Aivazovsky's landscape "Moonlit Night in Crimea" from 1861 with an estimate of 60 million rubles, as well as Levitan's painting "Moonrise. Village" from 1898, valued at 50 million rubles. Serov's canvas "At Sewing" from 1896 is also estimated at 50 million rubles.

Additionally, the auction will present Repin's "Narcissus" from 1917, with a price reaching 45 million rubles.
