At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 25, Damirbek Osmonov reported on the staffing situation in the healthcare sector. The country has registered 19,000 doctors, but only 13,500 of them are actually working. According to the minister, attracting medical professionals to remote areas poses a serious problem, as many doctors prefer to stay in large cities for the convenience of their families.

Osmonov emphasized: "To address this issue, we should start by attracting specialists during their training in residency. Doctors who complete their residency are already certified specialists and can work. However, currently, they are trained for free and pay for their study time. We need to ensure that we provide them with a decent salary and also require them to work in peripheral areas for one to two years after completing their residency."
