The chairpersons of the previous committees have completed their terms.
At today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies discussed the election of chairpersons for two committees: the Committee on Labor, Health, Women’s Affairs, and Social Issues, as well as the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues, Law and Order, Combating Crime, and Corruption.
A group of deputies from Ala-Too proposed the candidacies of Gulkan Moldobekova and Suyunbek Omurzakov for the positions of chairpersons of the respective committees.
The Adilet Kyrgyzstan deputy group also nominated Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva for the position of deputy chair of the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues.
As a result of the secret ballot, Suyunbek Omurzakov became the chair of the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues, while Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva took the position of deputy chair of this committee.
Gulkan Moldobekova was elected chair of the Committee on Labor, Health, Women’s Affairs, and Social Issues.
